As little as $25 is all it takes to provide life-changing support to those living with avoidable blindness across the Pacific.

Rex, from Vanuatu, was only 29 when he met our outreach team. He had a very dense cataract in his left eye, reminding us that cataract blindness doesn't just affect the elderly. His cataract made it very hard for him to work and support his wife and two young children. 

Thanks to generous donations from people like you, Rex was able to travel to Port Vila and undergo sight-restoring cataract surgery.

The day after surgery, Rex was still worried he would not be able to see. Only when the bandage came off could he be sure. The first emotion we saw was utter relief. Then he threw his head back, took a deep breath and looked up at the sky.
